A Review And Swatches Of The Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip Lipstick

^Bobbi Brown’s Crushed Liquid Lip is a hybrid lip formula that has the nourishing feel of a balm, the colour payoff of a liquid lipstick and the creamy sheen of a pigmented gloss.

formula

The formula feels lightweight and hydrating, it’s definitely the most comfortable pigmented lip formula I’ve tried.

These lipsticks are opaque and full coverage in one swipe and very quick and easy to apply. These also don’t settle into the fine lines in my lips or bleed outside my lip line – I never feel the need to wear a lip liner with these.

As these are a balmy texture, they do wear off gradually after a few hours. When they do wear off, they do so evenly and leave behind a slight stain. I tend to reapply these after about 2 hours, which I don’t mind at all. They layer over previous applications really nicely and never go patchy, cakey or crumbly.

The ^Crushed Liquid Lips also have a faint fruity scent – it’s just a hint of fragrance when applying and quickly dissipates, not overwhelming at all.

shade range

The two shades I currently have are ‘Hippy Shake’ (a muted pale blue pink) and ‘Give a Fig’ (a dusty red rose).

There are 14 shades in the permanent collection ranging from nudes, pinks, reds, mauves all the way to deep berry and burgundy.  I’d love to add some of the more nude shades to my collection, they’d be perfect for every day wear.

application

The doe foot applicator has a nice beveled edge that makes tracing and perfecting your lip line super easy. The applicator picks up the perfect amount of product, so they glide over the lips so smoothly with no dragging or skipping.

I also really love to use these as a cream blush, as they look so healthy and plump on the cheeks! I just apply a dot on my cheek and tap to blend with my fingers. It’s easy to top up throughout the day too, which you can do by kissing your fingers and tapping the product on to the cheeks.

Steph, x

I’ve heard quite a few people talking about these. They sound like they have a lovely formula. Both of the shades you have look beautiful.

I’ve tried so many lip products, but nothing quite like these! I’d definitely recommend you have a look at them in store if you can! x

Great post – I normally only wear lip balm, so I think I would enjoy a product that has a gloss/lipstick feel to it. Thanks for sharing!

These feel quite similar to a lip balm, so I think you would like them! x
