Beauty Make Up

Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick

Lipstick is my favourite item of makeup – so many colours and finishes, there are endless possibilities all contained in a beautifully packaged bullet.  Now, Guerlain have revolutionised the lipstick packaging game, creating 15 incredible lipstick cases allowing you to create your own customised lipstick!  Their new Rouge G lipstick line is a thing of beauty that is perfect for people who want a lil’ something special when applying their makeup – especially on the go.

I’ve not been this excited for a lipstick launch in forever!

I had such a difficult time choosing which of the 15 cases I wanted to complete my Rouge G lipstick, opting for ‘Preppy Chic’ in the end.  This is a slightly pearlescent cream leather effect case which feels very luxurious to the touch.  The cases also have a double mirror inside, perfect for touch ups on the go.

I chose the shade 6, a pink-nude.  However, there are 30 gorgeous shades to choose from.  I also have my eye on 2 (a nude) and 520 (a light pink).  The formula has jojoba, mango butter and hyaluronic acid to keep the lips moisturised and plump while providing intense colour payoff.

When choosing your lipstick and case combo, you need to choose them both separately.  The lipstick retails for £24.50 and the case retails for £14.50 – making quite the hefty investment at £39 in total.  Totally worth it for the novelty factor in my opinion, but I’m also just a bit ridiculous to be honest!  If you can’t quite justify spending nearly £40 on a lipstick, it would make a super special present either for yourself (Happy Birthday To Me) or another beauty-lover in your life!

Be sure to check out the other cases in the range and let me know what one catches your eye!
