Chantecaille Cheek Gelée Blush: For People Who Want Luminosity AND Longevity

Chantecaille Cheek Gelee

The Chantecaille Cheek Gelée in the shade ‘Happy’ is the perfect pink blush for a fresh, luminous look.  The product really shines when paired with a natural, skin look.

It’s a staple in my makeup routine all year round, but especially when I’m going for a no makeup-makeup look or in the Spring and Summer months.

formula

The formula is a lightweight gel-cream hybrid that applies smoothly and evenly, making it easy to apply.  I tend to apply by tapping it in to the skin with my fingers, no need for a brush.

Due to the medium pigment level, the Cheek Gelée can be applied as a wash of colour without the worry that you’ll be too heavy handed.  If you’d like a bit more colour, the formula layers nicely, allowing you to build up the colour to your desired intensity.

longevity

Chantecaille describe the formula as “the freshness of an emulsion with the lasting power of a stain”, which is the absolute perfect description.

If you have oily skin and usually run in the opposite direction of cream products or when you hear the words ‘luminous and glowy’ – fear not!

The formula works well on my oily skin, so I don’t have to worry about it sliding off my face or accentuating my pores.  It is luminous, but in a non-greasy kinda way.

shade range

There are currently 3 shades in the Cheek Gelée Blush range:  Happy – A soft, playful pink with a hint of pearl.  Lively – A fresh peach shade.  Vibrant – A flirty raspberry

The shades have a very fine shimmer running through them, but don’t let that put you off.   The shimmer is undetectable on the cheeks – no chunky glitter, just luminousity.

I’m also intrigued by their Radiance Gel Bronzer and Liquid Lumière Highlighter as they seems to be similar in formula to the Cheek Gelée Blushes.
