When it comes to product recommendations, blogs and youtube are the sources that I trust and value most. I follow quite a few bloggers and most of them I trust wholeheartedly. If they recommend a product – I know it’s gonna be a good one! Here are 5 purchases I’ve made that have been inspired by other bloggers.
I always love everything Victoria mentions, so I knew I was going to love this. There have been so many times I’ve watched her vlogs and been in love with how luminous her skin looked. 9 times out of 10, it was Beauty Blur Victoria was wearing. I’m so pleased I picked this up as it is just gorgeous on the skin. The light-medium coverage evens out my skin, then I just spot conceal where I need it. Healthy, fresh, natural looking skin in a flash.
If you follow me over on Instagram, you’ll have seen that I’ve been wearing this lipstick non-stop since I bought it. It’s the perfect muted blue-toned pink for everyday wear – I’m obsessed. I had originally bought the shade ‘Give A Fig’, but after seeing this shade in real life on Suzy, I had to go back for ‘Hippy Shake’ too. I love wearing this as a cream blush also, which is a tip I picked up from Bobbi Brown Pro artist Aimee Morrison. *Click here to read my full review of the Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip.*
Lily has the most gorgeous blog photography, so I pretty much want to buy everything she’s ever featured on her blog. The shade of this looked gorgeous in her swatches, so I knew I had to try it. I quite like this bronzer, I feel like it looks really natural on the skin. I’ve just about used it all up now and thinking about whether to repurchase it or to try out the NARS Laguna Liquid bronzer – I haven’t decided yet!
Annie’s skin is absolutely beautiful, super bright and clear – so you’d never know that she used to struggle with acne. Her skin type is oily and acne-prone like mine, so I’m always interested to know what she’s using to keep her skin looking as wonderful as it does. I was watching one of Annie’s skincare routine videos on Youtube where she mentioned this toner – so I thought I would give it a try! I picked up the travel size to test it out, I’ve been loving it so far!
I’ve bought many a product based on Gemma’s recommendation (and beautiful photography) and have always been impressed. This is one of my favourite products now, it really works! It took about 6 weeks for me to really see the effects, but now my lashes are thicker, darker and definitely longer! I wear half the amount of mascara I used to! I also don’t really apply false lashes for special occasions now, as a good few coats of mascara does the job!
