No Foundation Makeup Routine

No Foundation Makeup Routine-2

For the times that I don’t feel the need for a full face of makeup, I opt to skip foundation completely.  I usually just want to even out my skin tone slightly and spot conceal any areas that aren’t looking their best.  I love how fresh my skin looks without foundation, so much so, that I hardly wear it anymore!  Now, I can get ready in about 5 minutes and only use a couple of products!

As I’m very pale, I usually like to bronze up my face and body to make me look a little bit healthier.  For this, I love to use the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster face tanning drops.  It’s super simple to use, as it’s a concentrated liquid that you drop a few drops into your regular moisturiser, give it a quick mix in and apply as normal. The more drops you add, the more tanned your face will be, so you can choose your desired level of bronzey-ness. These warm up my face and even out my skin tone, which really reduces the need for foundation.

If I’m feeling like a little extra coverage and glow, I’ll use the Vita Liberata Beauty Blur.  It’s got the perfect amount of pigment to cover any unevenness and redness, and has the most beautiful healthy sheen.  It makes you look like you’ve had 10 hours sleep and drink about 4 litres of water a day!  It’s also pretty undetectable on the skin, so if you’re going for the no-makeup makeup look – this is the product for you!

If I’m breaking out or have particularly dark circles that day, I’ll use a bit of colour correcting concealer.  My favourite for the blueness under my eyes is the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector.  It has a creamy, skin like finish which looks really natural even with no foundation.

As I’m oily, I usually need to use a powder to set my T-zone.  For this, I absolutely love the Glossier Wowder.  It’s a lightweight powder that does an amazing job of blurring pores – one of my biggest skin issues!  It also gives just a hint of coverage, mattifying any excess shine without looking dull or flat.

To add a wee bit of colour and life into my complexion, I’ll use a tinted balm such as the Glossier Balm Dot Com in the shade ‘Cherry’, which is a sheer red tone.  I use this to hydrate my lips as well as on my cheeks for a healthy, glowy flushed look.

What are your go-to products when skipping foundation?
