Autumn is upon us people and I for one could not be more excited. Candle-lighting, black-boot-wearing, PSL-flavoured everything season is here! With the change in weather (or continuation of rain and grey skies if you’re a fellow Glaswegian), comes a shake up of the ol’ beauty routine. Here are my transitional beauty picks for Autumn.
Zarko Pink Molecule 090.09 Eau de Parfum // This smells absolutely divine – please go to your nearest Space NK to smell it! It’s smells sweet, but slightly alcoholic (lol) – pretty much exactly like pink champagne. The top notes are elderflower, apricot, black orchid and “pink molecules”. If I had to group it with similar smelling perfumes, I’d say it’s a bit like Chanel ‘Chance Eau Tendre’, Chanel ‘Coco Mademoiselle’ and Dior ‘Miss Dior’. So if they’re your kinda thang, go grab this!
Moroccan Oil // I have over processed, bleach damaged hair which was crying outdoor some TLC. using this oil makes my hair much smoother and shinier – no mean feat for frazzled hair! It also comes in a light version which is tailored more for my hair type, so I’m gonna try that one when my current bottle runs out.
The Body Shop Wild Argan Sublime Nourishing Body Butter // I’ve been dedicating some time every night to really pamper myself instead of only once a week or so. I’m usually pretty pants when it comes to moisturising my body, but I’ve really been enjoying using this body butter just before bed. It’s super-duper moisturising and leaves my skin soft and a little healthier looking. It also claims to give you 48hour hydration, which I can attest to. If you’re a lil’ lazy like me you could definitely just use this every other day – win!
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel // Now that the weather is turning slightly cooler, I’ve retired my Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser in favour of something a bit more hydrating. The Renaissance Cleasning Gel is well-known and very much hyped within the beauty world – and for good reason. It’s moisturising and nourishing without clogging or aggravating my oily, temperamental skin.
SensatioNail Express Gel Polish ‘Taupe to Bottom’ // I’ve been seriously loving SensatioNail’s new express formula. You only need 2 coats of the coloured polish for beautiful, shiny nails – no base or top coat required. It lasts for over 2 weeks on me with no peeling or chipping and has made at home manis even more simple and enjoyable than their regular formula. ‘Taupe to Bottom’ is a lovely warm taupe colour that’s perfect for this transitional period, but I also have my eye on the shades ‘I Sleep Bare Naked’ and ‘Mauve It or Lose It’.
